In the maritime environment, special standards apply. Technical systems on board ships must function reliably under extreme conditions – exposed to vibrations, moisture, temperature fluctuations, and electromagnetic influences. Unlike on land, there is no option to “just stop for a moment” at sea – failures can have safety‑critical consequences and must be avoided at all costs.
As a specialised testing laboratory, we support manufacturers and system integrators in meeting these high requirements. As part of comprehensive certification projects, we do tests in the areas of EMC, environmental testing, cybersecurity, as well as specialised custom tests. In doing so, we consistently adhere to the requirements of IACS, the Marine Equipment Directive (MED), and the specifications of international classification societies.
